Invasion of the Podcast!

This week we wonder if James Cameron can go back in time and save the Terminator franchise, wonder why one video game compay is calling out another video game company for making a game similar to the one they copied from yet another video game company, the 100 'hardest' boss fights, we take a look back at the aftermath of the video game market crash of 1983 and how that shaped the landscape of gaming going forward, and we line up some shots as we go over the rules for the Invasion Of The Podcast's Drinking Game™. 

This week we talk about JJ Lensflare directing Star Wars IX, IT making a lot of money for an R-Rated Horror film and Paul's spoiler free take on the film (news runs till about 45 minutes in, just a heads up), we talk about Netflix and Marvel's series The Defenders and if it was worth 5 seasons of TV to get through for this street level hero team up, and then we ask a Magic 8-Ball questions about the future of pop-culture. 

This week we mourn the passing of Spider-Man, do not mourn the removal of Mutt Williams from Indy 5, talk about yet another Star Wars film losing its director, discuss whether or not the Marvel comics event series Secret Empire was successful, and in honor of the year the IT mini-series came out, we run the box office barometer for 1990. 

This week we say goodbye to another horror icon, we appreciate Terry Pratchett's final wish, the business of clowing is not booming, we discuss the nature of identifying with/personalizing with video game characters, and we celebrate National Dog Day (late) with our top 10 Good Dogs and Bad Dogs. ...also, we pull additional raffle tickets to find out who are the future owners of cool prizes. 

This week we talk about the fun time we had at NEO Comic Con, how Warner Brothers is making a Joker origin film no one asked for, we grapple with the first season of the Netflix series GLOW, and we find out what our pop culture class schedule looks like this year.  ...oh, and we announce the names and ticket numbers of who won what for our raffle. 

This week we wonder what's the point of another Flashpoint retelling, streaming services are buying the rights to comic companies' whole catalogs, the possibility of a 10 dollar movie pass, we go back to Camp Firewood to talk about Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later and if this reunion was needed, and Paul sees if Joe can figure out what is VBS or BS. 

This week we talk aboout how things are not looking so good for the Dark Tower, Paul is now afraid of getting randomly punched by Doomfist, Joe is so-so about the first photos of Deadpool 2's Domino, we discuss Charilze Theron's Atomic Blonde and how we were way off about what Femme Fatale films are, and we put on our terribly animated CGI capes and talk about 1997's Spawn and barely survive its under budgeted vision of Hell for the Netflix Wheel of Death.™

This week we talk about the Skrulls invading the MCU, if a John Wick extended universe is needed, the Ready Player One trailer (spoiler: Paul is conflicted), we pull out our portal guns and jump into the Dan Harmon/Justin Roiland sci-fi dysfunctional family animated series, Rick and Morty, and the Netflx Wheel of Death™ rolls out to crush us once again. 

This week we say goodbye to a horror icon and hello to a new Doctor, get surly about Disney's Star Wars Land (and then admit we would still go), discuss season one of the Netflix series Castlevania and the challenges of translating video game franchises into TV and film, and the Nacho Sorting Hat of Doom™ raises the stakes as we pit twenty pop culture vampires toe to toe and fang to fang to see who will become the next Dracula. 

This week we discuss the Emmy nominations, go nuts about the New Warriors casting of Squrriel Girl, discover what that crunching sound is, interview Shaun Steven Struble,  the creator/writer/colorist of Image Comics's L'il Depressed Boy, and Paul asks Joe if knows his X-Mans.
