This week we continue our Year of Animation by digging to the works of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli with 2005's Howl's Moving Castle. It has wizards that might be birds, demons with top hats, a turnip headed scarecrow, and Billy Crystal as a sassy fire. You know, the usual.
Bonus: We do actually have some news we get into because a bunch of Batman related things happened and it wouldn't be Invasion without some Batman talk.

This week we share our adventures at the drive in, experiments in drunken cooking, and watching webinars for fun. We talk about the passing of an important Batman creator, Alien 5 might be alive, and that the Mothman needs to be seen by everyone. We revisit 2014's It Follows and see if our feelings have changed about it over six years while looking out the windows for creeper old ladies slowly walking towards us. And Steve has a quiz for Paul about one of his favorite things: garbage.

This week we continue our journey through the Year of Animation by looking at Brad Bird's first feature film, 1999's The Iron Giant. Set in the year 1957 and in the shadow of Sputnik, a young boy happens across a giant robot from another world that can't remember why it is here. We are joined on this episode with special guest El Goro of the Talk Without Rhythm Podcast, a friendly giant that also will eat the occasional car, to explore this wonderful gem of a film that has a lot more going for it than at first glace.

This week we catch up over our three week break, The Mandalorian is getting a lot of Star Wars shoved into it, Steve is the true hero we need at this time as he solves the mysteries of long lost deli sandwiches, we take a look at Sam Raimi's first comic book/superhero film with 1990's Darkman and we see how well a movie about skin masks that disintegrate holds up, and Steve gives Paul a quiz to see what Sam Raimi film he truly is.
